Fancy Fall Apple Tart

If you’re looking for a delicious and simple fall dessert that’s sure to impress your next dinner guests, look no further than our Fancy Fall AppleTart featuring Attiki Honey.

This apple honey tart takes the crispness of fall apples and layers it with warm, velvety Attiki honey, which elevates the tart from simple to showstopper. The crust is made of layers of flaky Krinos fillo giving crunch and depth to this delicate dessert.

The best part? This exquisite tart takes less than 40 minutes to make! Move over apple pie – this tart may become a go-to for years to come.
Before you begin: be sure to use a tin with a removable bottom for the perfectly presented Fall Apple Tart. To make the tart, start by preheating the oven to 400o Fahrenheit.

For the filling, combine ¾ cup of loosely packed ground almonds, ¼ cup of Attiki honey, ¼ cup of unsalted, softened butter,1 egg yolk, ½ tsp of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into a small bowl.

Stir until smooth and set aside. Thinly slice the apples, discarding any seeds and brush with lemon juice. Keep the skin on for a beautifully rippled effect after baking.

Now it’s time to assemble your tart.

Line the bottom and sides of a 10-inch tart tin with two sheets of Krinos Fillo stacked on top of each other, tucking the fillo in on the bottom corners. Brush with melted butter and repeat process twice more, offsetting the fillo by a third each time.

Trim overhanging to 1- inch and roll excess fillo inward so it sits within the sides of the tin in order to create a raised edge. Spread almond mixture over the base of the tart and layer with apples.

Bake for 30-35 minutes and allow to cool before drizzling with 2 tbsp of Attiki honey. Cut into wedges to serve. Enjoy!
