Feta Cheese Pie
with raisins and dried figs
For the pie
10 sheets of rustic dough
Extra virgin olive oil for brush
For the filling
500 gr FETA cheese
1 evaporated milk
250 gr blond raisins
8-10 dried figs cut in small pieces
For the serving
For the filling:
Place the FETA in a bowl and crush it with a fork, add milk, egg, stir and keep the mixture aside.
For the pie:
Grease a pie pan.
Spread one sheet of rustic dough, grease and cover with 2 sheets of greased rustic dough.
Place 1/3 of the mixture, sprinkle with raisins and figs and cover with 2 sheets of greased rustic dough.
On top place another 1/3 of the filling with raisins, figs and cover again with 2 sheets of greased rustic dough. Repeat with all the sheets and mixture. Finish the pie with 3 sheets of dough on top. Carve the pie, brush with oil and bake in a preheated oven at 1700 C for 50 minutes approximately, until it gets crispy and colored. Pour honey on the pie, sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.
